Bantams skipper out injured

Bradford skipper Michael Flynn is expected to be sidelined for up to three weeks due to a thigh injury.

The Welsh midfielder, who recently returned from a two-month lay-off through illness, was forced out of City's 4-0 win at Barnet on Tuesday night and has been ruled out of Saturday's clash at Dagenham & Redbridge. Manager Phil Parkinson, also without fellow midfielder David Syers at Barnet, said: "He's picked up a thigh strain, but we don't think it's a serious one. "He couldn't carry on though so we might be looking at two or three weeks out. It's a blow, especially as Dave is still out at the moment as well. "I'd like to see Dave in that role behind Craig because I think he'd give the team a real goal threat. "Unfortunately his back spasmed up again, so we're going to have to get to the bottom of the problem because it keeps flaring up."
