Bradford winger Filipe Morais said he was always going to commit himself to the club after signing his new contract.

The Portuguese, 29, ended speculation over his future this week by putting pen to paper on a new two-and-a-half-year deal and said Bradford was the only club for him. "Bradford is the perfect club for me at the moment," Morais told the club's official website. "There were some other bits of interest in me, which I supposed showed I had been playing well recently, but all I ever wanted to do really was agree terms and sign on again with Bradford. "I have never been as close with a club as I have been here. "With the fans, the chairman, the manager, the backroom staff and the other lads, it feels like we have a real bond and a relationship. It is all really nice to get on with everyone. "It is a lovely club to be at and I am really enjoying my time here so far." Morais started out in England with Chelsea in 2005 before spells at Millwall, Hibernian, Inverness, St Johnstone, Oldham and Stevenage and has also had a loan stay at MK Dons. "I want to settle down with my family on a personal level and the club here on the footballing side of things is a fantastic club, so this deal ticked a lot of boxes for me," he added. "Everything has just gone hand in hand really. It is the perfect opportunity for me and I wasn't prepared to let that opportunity go."
