League One Chesterfield have signed forward Kristian Dennis, who scored 22 goals in 39 National League games for Macclesfield this season.
The 26-year-old, who was on loan at Macclesfield where he also started his career, was a free agent after his Stockport contract expired.
He told Chesterfield's official website: "I'm buzzing and hopefully I can repay the faith shown in me. I believe in my own ability and anything can happen if someone believes in you."
Spireites boss Danny Wilson said: "He's a very level-headed boy who is determined to do well in the Football League and become an established player. He is prolific and I think he can offer us a great deal."
