Chesterfield striker Jamie Ward faces six weeks out with a hamstring injury.
Chesterfield have been dealt a blow with the news that striker Jamie Ward has picked up a hamstring injury.
The former Aston Villa trainee only joined Roy McFarland's side from League Two club Torquay United on transfer deadline day last month.
However, the 20-year-old now faces up to six weeks on the sidelines after picking up the hamstring problem in Saturday's 3-0 home win over Port Vale.
"I was delighted to get on the scoresheet to help us on the way to an important victory, but gutted that I picked up this injury only a couple of minutes later," Ward told Chesterfield's official website.
