Chesterfield winger Drew Talbot has set his sights on wrapping up the League Two title in style this weekend.
The Spireites welcome play-off chasing Gillingham to the B2net Stadium on Saturday knowing that a point would seal the championship.
However, with just one win in their last five games, the former Sheffield Wednesday man admits pressure is on their shoulders to end the season with a bang.
"I'm sure that many people would have put us down to be champions by now, but it just goes to show how competitive this league is and that any side can beat another on their day," Talbot told skysports.com.
"We've got a massive game at the weekend and, fingers crossed, we can finally put the title to bed.
"It would be lovely for the fans to get the title wrapped up at home, but it does put a bit of added pressure on the lads.
"We do feel that we deserve it having been on top for most of the season, but it is up to us to go out there on Saturday and finish the job off.
"Everyone would be very disappointed not to win the title because at the end of the season the table doesn't lie and whoever finishes top will be classed as the best team in the division.
"We believe that we are up there with the best in this league, but we've had quite a difficult run-in with games against sides that still have plenty to play for.
"Fair play to Bury though because they came to our place and gave us a good game.
"At the start of the season we were aiming for promotion, but considering the situation we are in and the season we've had everybody is desperate to clinch the title as well.
"Gillingham need to come to our place and win to give themselves a chance of making the play-offs, but even a win might not be enough for them, so it should be an open affair.
"Both teams have got something to play for and it should be a good spectacle for the fans."
