Darikwa pens contract extension

Chesterfield winger and academy product Tendayi Darikwa has signed a new three-year contract with the League Two outfit.

Darikwa, who only agreed a one-year extension in the summer, has been rewarded for being one of the Spireites' most consistent performers so far this season. The 20-year-old has scored two goals in 15 appearances for the League Two side this season. He has played much of his football at right-back for Chesterfield but has proved a real threat when operating out on the wing. Darikwa made his debut for the club at the age of 18 in a FA Cup second-round defeat to Burton in November 2010.
