Chairboys boss Lawrie Sanchez has brought in the 24-year-old on loan from Rotherham for a month after seeing his side ship an alarming amount of goals in their first eight league games that sees them third from bottom in Division Two.
The stopper begun his career with Leicester City before making a £50,000 switch to Millmoor in 1999.
Branston helped Ronnie Moore's side to gain promotion to the First Division but made just 15 appearances for The Millers last term and has only featured three times this season and will welcome the chance of more regular first-team football.
In other news, the Buckinghamshire outfit have loaned out young defender Ian Simpemba to Woking for a month.
