The 25-year-old joined The Millers until the end of the season late last week following his release from his contract at Premiership side Leeds United.
The former Chelsea man has been given the chance to put his career back on track with the South Yorkshire outfit after The Whites decided against keeping him on after he failed to land a regular place in the side.
Morris' position at Elland Road became strained after he was charged with rape in November, however those charges were dropped by the Crown Prosecution Service in January.
He soon attracted interest from fellow First Division side Walsall but Moore was able to clinch the player's signature on Saturday and he believes that Morris could help his side avoid relegation from Division One in the closing weeks.
"I prefer to look at what he has done on the pitch," said Moore.
"He is a hell of a player, but he has lost his way so hopefully we can kick-start his career.
"He has hunger now because he realises that if he is not careful he is going to make a cock-up of his career."
