Alex Revell believes Rotherham's last-gasp 2-1 victory over Leyton Orient will send a message out to the rest of the league.
Revell struck the winner deep into injury time against his former club to consolidate the Millers' play-off position. Steve Evans' men have gone under the radar following their promotion last season, sitting 10 points off the top two, and Revell believes their victory over Orient will make people sit up and take notice. "You can't say this wasn't a great result," the striker said. "They have been excellent, a lot of people would have thought they'd have fallen away by now. "We have shown people we have got resilience and people can look at that and see we mean business." Evans strengthened heavily in January by bringing in seven players and extending the loans of Newcastle pair James Tavernier and Haris Vuckic and competition for places is at an all-time high. But Revell, who has so far kept his place in the side, believes that could push them on. "With the signings we have made we have got a great squad," he added. "Not only are you under pressure to keep your shirt you are under pressure to keep your place in the squad because there are that many good players. "With our manager you can't fade away from anything, he wouldn't let that happen. "A lot of people would be happy where we are sitting, but the manager, chairman and the group of players want to be top. "You strive for success and we've got a group of lads that all want that. "It is exciting times and hopefully we can keep under the radar and keep getting those points."
