The Glovers claimed their place in the Championship with a 2-1 win over Brentford at Wembley.
And Rosler was quick to congratulate Johnson for the job he has done with Yeovil.
"First of all congratulations to Gary and his team, he did a very good job with his financial resources and they played well and got the crucial first goal," Rosler told Sky Sports.
"It looks like every time we play Yeovil the first shot is a goal against us, so that made it difficult for us as they defend very well deep in their own half."
Rosler was full of praise for his players, who came back strongly in the second half but they could only pull one back through Harlee Dean after Yeovil went into the break 2-0 up thanks to Paddy Madden and Dan Burn.
"Second half was fantastic for my players, we really went for it and should have got something out of it, at least extra-time," he said.
"I think we were a little nervous and some players have not performed from the beginning but after they lost their nerves they went out and really went for it, and I am very proud of that team.
"This team does not know how to give up. We paid the price today - the first goal should not happen. In the modern game the first goal is crucial as it gives them momentum and we lost focus, but second half we had them down on their knees and had two or three great chances, fantastic fighting spirit by my players."
