Transfer news: Gary Bowyer tells Alan Judge he remains part of Blackburn's future plans

Gary Bowyer has assured Alan Judge that he has a future at Blackburn Rovers despite being allowed to join Brentford on loan.
The highly-rated midfielder was taken back to Ewood Park for a second spell last summer, but struggled for form and found himself restricted to just seven starts.
A lack of opportunities opened the door to a loan switch in January, and Judge linked up with League One promotion chasers Brentford.
He will see out the season at Griffin Park – where he has netted three times in 14 appearances – but will be offered a clean slate upon his return to his parent employers, with Bowyer aware of what the 25-year-old could add to his side if firing on all cylinders.
The Rovers boss said in the Fulham Chronicle: “We know he cares about our club a lot, which is why we brought him back.
“Towards the beginning of the season he was in the team, but then found himself out of it.
“He loves playing football and has a fantastic attitude. He came to see me and said, ‘I want to play games’. I couldn’t guarantee him that.
“Brentford are a good football club with good people and are going the right way. We thought it was a good deal for everyone involved. I hope Brentford go up.
“The door isn’t closed. He signed a three-year contract with us, so we’ll see what happens. We anticipate him coming back at the end of the season.”
