AFC Wimbledon pair Andy Barcham and James Shea both hope to be back in contention in time for the Christmas fixture schedule.

Winger Barcham has been sidelined since damaging knee ligaments in October and goalkeeper Shea has been out for a similar period due to a groin injury, but both expect to return to full training next week.

"We have had a good meeting about it and we are hoping that Andy and James will be back training full on with the first team in the week of December 7," boss Neal Ardley told the club's official website.

"That is the aim for them without any setbacks. We then have a couple of under-21 games within the two weeks after that and a chance to get them back where they need to be going into a busy Christmas schedule."
