Oxford winger Jonny Giles has signed a new 18-month contract and on-loan Fulham defender Jordan Evans has extended his stay with the club.

Giles, who has yet to make his first-team debut after joining the club in September, will stay with the U's until at least the end of the 2016/17 season, while left-back Evans has agreed to see out the current campaign at the Kassam Stadium.

Head coach Michael Appleton told the club's official website: "They are both good players and we are looking forward to working with them for longer.

"Jordan is very highly regarded at Fulham and within the Wales set-up. He has found it difficult to get chances in matches so far but his time will come.

"Jonny is an interesting one. We took a punt on him coming straight out of university and into professional football. He is very raw but he definitely has something."
