Midfield concern for Imps

Frecklington's ankle injury to be assessed

Peter Jackson may be pressed into signing a new midfielder following an injury to Lincoln City's Lee Frecklington. The former Peterborough United target damaged ankle ligaments in Lincoln's 3-1 home defeat to Rotherham United on Saturday. His replacement in the game - Shane Clarke - was then sent off, incurring a three-match ban which could leave Jackson short on cover. The Red Imps boss will wait on a further assessment of Frecklington's injury before deciding whether to enter the transfer market. Jackson told the Lincolnshire Echo: "I need to find out how long Lee is going to be out first before I make a decision on whether I need cover or not. "Once I know the extent of the damage, which I should know better by Monday, then I can start thinking about bringing new players in."
