Accrington Stanley striker Paul Mullin has committed his future to the club by signing a contract until 2010.
Mullin recently held talks with League Two rivals Shrewsbury Town, but opted to stick with Stanley.
He has now accepted a new two-and-a-half year deal with Accrington, where he has been since 2001.
Stanley have also secured the future of Bobby Grant, with the teenage winger signing an 18-month contract with the club.
Meanwhile, Accrington manager John Coleman confirmed he is aiming to add a defender to his squad before the close of the transfer window.
Coleman told skysports.com: "I'm looking for either permanent transfers or loan signings, and I'm still looking to bring defenders in.
"I'm looking for anyone who can come in and do a job and defend well at this level.
"You need players who have played at this level before so it doesn't really take them off their feet.
"We just need to strengthen and get ourselves in a position where we are no longer looking over shoulders and instead we can look upwards."
