Midfielder's contract cancelled

Accrington Stanley midfielder Rommy Boco has left the club after his contract was cancelled by mutual consent. Boco had spent two-and-a-half years with the club and scored Stanley's first goal in League Two against Barnet in August 2006. But he has started just six games in the league this season and has recently been on Africa Cup of Nations duty with Benin. Stanley have confirmed Boco's departure after acknowleding the 22-year-old has not been happy of late. Chief executive Rob Heys told the club's official website: "Romu hasn't been happy for a while for a number of reasons, and has ultimately decided that he wants to move on. "He is a great lad who I know will go on and do well in football and in life in general. He scored our first league goals last season and it was fantastic to watch him represent his country last month in the African Nations tournament. "As a friend and as a player we wish him all the best for the future."
