Much-coveted Bury hit-man Andy Bishop has signed a contract extension to keep him at Gigg Lane until 2012.
The proven goalscorer turned down a new contract at the club earlier this month and had been linked with a move away.
But Bishop - who has been the club's leading scorer for the last two seasons and has already netted on 11 occasions so far this term - has now agreed to stay on at Gigg Lane until the end of the 2011/12 season.
"A constant source of speculation and rumours amongst the media, Andy has finally put to bed another long running saga by signing the contract extension this evening," said the club's official website ahead of Tuesday's top-of the-table League Two clash with Bradford.
