Striker set to stay

Exeter striker Richard Logan looks set to sign a new deal with the club following discussions with manager Paul Tisdale. The 27-year-old netted four goals this season as the Grecians earned automatic promotion to League One. He revealed he had held a meeting with Tisdale and was set to sign a new deal. "I had a meeting with Paul [Tisdale] and he offered me a deal for next season," he said. "So hopefully we'll manage to get it signed and sealed next week." Meanwhile, Tisdale has revealed he is facing a battle to keep hold of midfield star Matt Gill. "I would dearly love to keep Matt at the club," said Tisdale. "He is at a prime age at the moment and everyone knows how well he has played this season. "There is no denying that he is a player who other clubs would have seen and liked the look of. "We have got our work cut out to keep him and it is not going to be an easy one. "We are going to have an anxious week or two while we wait to see what his decision is going to be. "At this stage of the season players, agents and managers keep their cards close to their chest and it is difficult to establish whether this is shaping up to be a positive end or not."
