Morecambe have rejected St Johnstone's bid for defender Will Haining.
Skysports.comrevealed that the Saints made a bid earlier this week to take Haining back to Scotland.
Haining spent two seasons with St Mirren, before moving back down south to link up with Morecambe.
The 27-year-old has performed well for the Shrimps, which led to St Johnstone making their move.
But Morecambe have rejected the bid and are believed to be readying a new contract offer for Haining - who has 18-months left on his current deal.
