Keeper has options in Football League and Blue Square Premier

Veteran goalkeeper Kevin Pilkington is weighing up his options after he was released by League Two champions Notts County. Pilkington did not make a first-team appearance for the Magpies this season due to the presence of Kasper Schmeichel and spent a spell on loan at Luton Town. He has clubs in the Football League and Blue Square Premier on his trail and the 36-year-old is considering his next move. The former Manchester United youngster told the Nottingham Evening Post: "I have got a few things in the pipeline. There are a few clubs interested and I will be speaking to them soon. "I want to play for as long as I can because I love football. I'm 36, but I'm a fit 36 because I look after myself and don't abuse my body. I work hard every day in training." Pilkington leaves Meadow Lane with fond memories, having amassed nearly 150 appearances for the club, and he added: "I enjoyed my five seasons with the club, even though the last two seasons have been frustrating because I haven't played a lot."
