Buckle feels midfielder has plenty of potential

Lloyd Macklin has agreed to join Torquay United on a permanent basis after not being offered a new contract by Swindon Town. The midfielder made four appearances on loan for Torquay towards the end of last season and has accepted an offer to return to Plainmoor. The 20-year-old made just 15 appearances during his Swindon career and Gulls boss Paul Buckle is expecting Macklin to make a contribution next season. Buckle told his club's official website: "Lloyd showed some good form during his loan spell here even though he picked up an injury. "He has electric pace and is another young player who can contribute on the pitch now and also has plenty of potential."
