St Johnstone show interest in Brentford winger

Paul Peschisolido fears Burton Albion will lose out to St Johnstone in the race to sign Brentford winger Cleveland Taylor. The 26-year-old impressed during a loan spell at Burton in the second half of last season and Peschisolido wants to sign Taylor permanently. However, St Johnstone have shown an interest in the wide man and Peschisolido accepts it may be difficult for the Brewers to compete with the SPL club. "It is not an ideal situation," Peschisolido told club's official website. "To be honest I was kind of surprised that there wasn't more interest beforehand. "I was hoping that nothing else would come along, but it is a Scottish Premier League team that has come calling. He is at an age where he wants to test himself at a higher level and if he decided to go there then I wish him all the best, but I know the fans would love him here as well. "I am not 100% sure that he will go, but I think he will opt for a higher level of football. "It is not all doom and gloom if he doesn't come. I would love to sign him, but I have other irons in the fire if it doesn't come off for us."
