Scot signs two-year deal with Shaanxi Chanba

Skysports.com understands former Hibernian star Derek Riordan has joined Chinese Super League side Shaanxi Chanba. As revealed by skysports.com earlier this week, Riordan flew out to China to hold talks with Chanba about a possible move to the club. Riordan was available on a free transfer after leaving Hibs earlier this summer and the Scotland international has now agreed a two-year deal with Chanba after passing a medical. Riordan's agent, Jim McArthur, has confirmed the forward was impressed by Chanba's set-up and is looking forward to his new challenge in China.

Impressed

"Derek has signed a two-year deal with Chanba," McArthur told skysports.com. "He was very impressed with the club when he saw the set-up and the facilities. "He is looking forward to the experience of playing in China and it is an exciting time for him."
