Thame draw for U's in friendly

Oxford United concluded their final pre-season friendly with a 1-1 draw against Thame United at ASM Stadium on Monday night.

A starting XI combining youth and experience had to come from behind late on against their non-league opponents to preserve their unbeaten record this summer ahead of Saturday's League Two opener at Rotherham. Striker Tom Craddock had already hit a post after rounding the keeper at the start of the second half when Nik Rhodes headed the hosts into the lead from a free-kick. Tyrone Marsh was next to strike the woodwork as United upped the pressure in search of an equaliser and they got their reward when Craddock fired home Sam Long's cross on the half volley in the closing stages.
