Port Vale winger Lewis Haldane has undergone surgery after his double leg fracture, his second operation after a procedure last week.
The 26-year-old also had an exploratory procedure last week. The main operation had to be delayed due to heavy swelling around the ankle joint. Haldane suffered the injury during the Johnstone's Paint Trophy defeat at Tranmere nine days ago. He is due to leave hospital later on Thursday, with his recovery expected to take several months.
