Skysports.com understands Turkish side Eskisehirspor are eyeing a move for Derek Riordan as a replacement for Kris Boyd.
Boyd has left Eskisehirspor after terminating his contract following a dispute over unpaid wages.
The former Rangers striker struggled to establish himself in Turkey and Eskisehirspor are now weighing up a move for free agent Riordan to fill the void left by Boyd's departure.
Riordan is looking for a new club after leaving Shaanxi Chanba last month following four months with the Chinese side.
The former Hibernian player's contract at Shaanxi was cancelled by mutual consent and he is free to sign for a new club in the January transfer window.
A number of other clubs including Verona and Kayserispor are thought to be weighing up moves for Riordan, but Eskisehirspor are ready to enter the race for the 28-year-old in the New Year.
