Ian Sharps is looking for another club after declining to sign a new contract at Shrewsbury.

The 31-year-old skipper made 97 appearances for Graham Turner's outfit since joining from Rotherham in 2010 but, despite being offered fresh terms last week, he has opted not to extend his spell at the Greenhous Meadow. A statement on the club's official website read: "Ian Sharps has rejected the offer of a new contract and has indicated that he will be signing for another club. "We would like to take the opportunity of thanking Ian for his contribution over the past two seasons, culminating in our promotion to League One. "Whilst we are disappointed Ian will not be with us next season we wish him the best of luck at his new club."
