Ogogo signs new Daggers deal

Abu Ogogo has become the fourth Dagenham player in the space of a week to pen a new contract with the League Two club.

The Daggers revealed in May that the right-back-turned-midfielder, out of contract this summer, had verbally agreed to commit his future. And Ogogo, 22, has now put pen to paper on a three-year deal which sees him remain at Victoria Road until the summer of 2015. The news comes after strikers Brian Woodall and Dwight Gayle as well as midfielder Billy Bingham all recently signed fresh terms with the Essex outfit. Manager John Still told the club's official website: "Abs has obviously been an established player here and we've seen his performances continue to grow over the years. He's also grown as a person. With his contract coming to an end we were negotiating for a while and we're delighted he's signed another three years here. "I also think he has become what a lot of people have become in the past and that is a true Dagger."
