Robson: Boost to be off bottom

Barnet manager Mark Robson believes climbing off the foot of League Two has given his struggling side a huge boost.

The Bees lifted themselves above Aldershot on goal difference in midweek after a 1-0 win over Torquay. Robson, now in joint charge at Underhill with Dutch legend Edgar Davids, is confident the club can avoid yet another last-day escape from relegation. He said: "It is great for everybody because I think it lifts everyone. It gives the players, the fans and the staff a boost that we are off the bottom. "It is only on goal difference but we have gone four games unbeaten now in the league. We have always said that we want to be further up the league and safe a little bit earlier if we can, and that is still the aim."
