Tisdale delighted with display

Exeter manager Paul Tisdale hailed his side as they made it five away league wins in a row with a 2-1 victory at York.

The Grecians have now won nine games on the road so far this season, with an own goal from Alex Rodman and Jimmy Keohane's strike, sandwiched by Michael Potts' leveller, moving them into fifth position in the table. "It was a very competent, pragmatic, tough performance," Tisdale said. "We were a bit slow to get started but it was a slow pitch as it was soggy and wet, so we had to cover the pitch and move as a group and do the basics well. "We defended our box very well and I'm delighted with the win as it keeps us going forward, it doesn't matter where we get our points from as every game is a winnable game. I don't mind where the goals come from as long as they hit the back of the net. "We had a good start but we were a bit open in the first 20 minutes and they scored their goal from the one area of the pitch where they had a bit of dominance from two or three times. "At that point I changed the set-up and made sure we covered the areas better and the players worked tremendously hard, it's hard to compliment them any more as they did very well."
