Ainsworth 'gutted' for fans

Gareth Ainsworth was 'gutted' for Wycombe's supporters after their 1-0 loss at home to Mansfield.

It was their second defeat of the season but Ainsworth's side failed to get going until they were behind. They still had a chance to rescue a point but Jo Kuffour headed the best chance wide and Ainsworth claimed there were few positives to take from the game. "We were unrecognisable, I didn't recognise a few of my players which is not nice," he said. "We didn't start playing until Mansfield scored. We weren't good enough with the ball on the ground, we went long too many times and they have some big lads. "We didn't deserve anything and we didn't get anything. We move on next week but believe me that performance isn't good enough for me and I'll be making sure that doesn't happen again. "It's probably the worst performance under me for nearly a year now and I'm not happy. "It's something you want put a finger on and we will be looking at the video. "I'm not one to pick out individuals and that was a team performance that let down Wycombe. I'm gutted for the fans, there were bad decisions and no individuals to win the game. "But we will get better, we will learn from this and we are going into a local derby and I'm up for that one."
