Coleman keen on Shakers job

Former Rochdale manager John Coleman has confirmed his intention to apply for the vacant manager's job at Bury.

Kevin Blackwell's Shakers contract was terminated on Monday after a run of six games without a win and the Gigg Lane post appeals to former Accrington boss Coleman, 51, who has been out of work since leaving Rochdale in January. "I'll go on like everybody else and try my best to get the job," he told BBC Radio Manchester. "I know League Two like the back of my hand, I've managed a lot of games in League Two and had a bit of success fighting at both ends. "I'm climbing the walls, it's been a hard nine months and I'm desperate to get back in."
