Dale extend Bishop loan

Rochdale manager Alan Buckley has extended striker Andy Bishop's loan for another month with the Spotland club.

The 21-year-old has been unable to make a first team debut with parent club Walsall but had two successful loan spells at fellow Third Division side Kidderminster Harriers.

Buckley has been impressed with Bishop's contribution over the last month and it is those performances that have prompted the club to extend the youngster's deal.

"Andy is going to be with us for another month. I saw him play before he came here and I thought he had a lot of ability and potential," Buckley told the club's official website.

"Unfortunately, Andy joined us when we were going through our worst spell of the season, so it's going to be more difficult when the service isn't as good.

"I also thought he formed a good partnership with Paul Connor and the longer they play together then you'd expect that to get better."

Meanwhile, midfielder Lee Duffy has joined non-league Rossendale United on a month's loan.
