Veteran goalkeeper Kevin Poole has been handed a trial at Walsall.
Veteran goalkeeper Kevin Poole has been handed a trial by Walsall manager Richard Money.
The 43-year-old spent last season at Derby County in a player-coach role but was released at the end of the campaign.
The former Birmingham and Bolton man is keen to continue his career and Money has handed the shot-stopper the chance to earn a switch to The Bescot Stadium.
Poole began his career in 1981 as an apprentice at Aston Villa and has previously plied his trade for Middlesbrough, Leicester, Birmingham and Bolton.
Former Trotters coach Phil Brown brought him to Derby last summer to provide experienced back-up to Lee Camp.
Poole went on to make seven appearances for The Rams last season and could win a similar role to that at Pride Park at Walsall if he impresses during the trial.
