Walsall striker Alex Nicholls insists the club's 2-1 triumph at Brentford on Saturday will prove invaluable.
The Saddlers went into the encounter on the back of two defeats in their opening two games but goals from Nicholls and Julian Gray secured an impressive triumph at Griffin Park to get the midlands club up and running in 2010/11. "It's a great result and we needed something like it to give us that bit of confidence, the longer you go without a result or playing well then harder it is," Nicholls told the club's official website. "It can give us a kickstart. "Getting a result like that after the performances before - we played nowhere near our best against MK Dons or Tranmere. "I don't think you can put a value on this result. It will give all the lads a lift and more confidence."
