Barnet have received news that the neck injury suffered by on-loan defender Paul Downing on Friday night is not as serious as first feared.
Downing was stretchered off after falling awkwardly during the goalless draw at Macclesfield and taken to hospital to have an X-ray. However, scans showed the injury was not too serious and he was later discharged. Downing is now back at parent club West Brom for further tests and treatment but Barnet are hopeful he will soon be back at Underhill.
