Trio sign new deals

Three Swindon Town regulars sign contract extensions at the County Ground.

Swindon Town manager Iffy Onuora has been boosted in his battle against relegation, by the news that three of his first-team squad have committed their future to the club.

Charlie Comyn-Platt, Michael Pook and Jack Smith have all signed deals which will see them stay at The County Ground until the end of next season.

Utility man Comyn-Platt has made 21 appearances in a variety of positions since signing from Bolton last summer, and has proved his worth in front of goal with strikes against Boston United in the FA Cup and the winning goal against Doncaster in League One.

"I'm delighted to have signed the new deal," Comyn-Platt told the club's official website.

"There are some important games ahead but with the fans' excellent backing I'm sure we can stay in League One."

Midfielder Smith has made 31 starts this season since his move from Watford, while fellow midfielder Pook has appeared for The Robins 28 times since progressing through the Town youth team.
