Ousted Swindon chairman Jeremy Wray has admitted his frustration at no longer being part of the club's promotion efforts.
Manager Paolo Di Canio, who led the Robins to the League Two title last season, is unhappy at the removal of the man who brought him to the club last year and is waiting for his agent to speak to new chairman Sir William Patey. But Wray hopes the upheaval will not have an adverse effect on the pitch with Swindon currently lying sixth in League One, and pledged to support them from the stands instead of the boardroom. He said: "Our three-year plan has so far been carried out successfully and we remain on course, ahead of it if we can secure back-to-back promotions, and it is frustrating that I'm no longer going to be a part of it. "The club has been a major part of my life, you don't spend the amount of time I did heavily involved with it for it not to become all-consuming at times and I'm going to miss it. "But I'll now take time out to reflect and assess the situation. When it's appropriate I can see myself returning to watch from the stands and revert back to being a fan."
