The Scotland international is out of contract at Selhurst Park at the end of the season and Wimbledon have given up hope of him signing a new contract after he said that he wanted to be at a club which will give him repeated successes.
He has been linked with the likes of Manchester United, Liverpool and Arsenal recently but it now looks as though a lucrative move north of the border could see him join Celtic.
Sullivan, 30 next month, has forced his way into the international team after consistently producing great form over the last three years.
Celtic manager John Barnes is thought to have already approached Sullivan about the possibility of a move and could offer him a five-year contract at Parkhead, which would see him take over the number one shirt from Jonathan Gould, Stewart Kerr and Dimitre Kharine.
Wimbledon have already begun the search for Sullivan`s replacement and have already been linked with Nottingham Forest`s Mark Crossley.
