The 21-year-old, rated in the £2 million bracket, has shone for The Dons this season and his stellar displays have not gone unnoticed by watching scouts.
"If Liverpool or Man United made a bid for me, it would be a hard decision," said McAnuff.
"Yes, it would be great to play for Liverpool - but in all reality, would I play in the first team if I signed for them?
"At this stage of my development I don't really see the point of moving somewhere like that just to sit on the substitutes bench or play reserve team football. I've been there, done that and got the tee-shirt already with Wimbledon.
"I've just turned 21 and I need to be playing regular first-team football to build up my profile and improve as a player - and the only way I'm going to do that is by getting matches under my belt. If I'm being honest, I think a change for me is still a long way off.
"I have worked my way up from the academy and I would rather wait a bit longer and go somewhere where I could get into the first team. But I'm happy with where I am until I reach the top. Whether I get there is another matter, but that remains the aim."
Portsmouth manager Harry Redknapp is also a confirmed admirer of the wing wizard but Wimbledon are determined to hang onto their prize asset.
