Jason Puncheon has signed his first professional contract with MK Dons.Teenage midfielder Jason Puncheon has signed his first professional contract with Milton Keynes Dons.
The 18-year-old made his debut for the club last season against Walsall and has proved to be a key performer this term.
He has been rewarded by manager Stuart Murdoch for his progress during the past six months with a maiden professional contract.
Puncheon is delighted with the deal and is happy that a weight has been lifted off his shoulders.
"I'm very happy to get things tied up," Puncheon told the club's official website.
"I've wanted to be a professional footballer for a long time and now it's happened so I couldn't be more pleased.
"The contract gets a few things out of your mind, knowing that you don't have to play for that aim anymore.
"The only aim now is to play well for myself and the team, not to earn a contract, and it takes a bit of pressure off in that respect."
