Milton Keynes Dons have signed striker Clive Platt from Peterborough United.Milton Keynes Dons have signed striker Clive Platt from League One rivals Peterborough United.
The 27-year-old joins Danny Wilson's side for an undisclosed fee and will be available for Saturday's home clash with Colchester United.
His move to The National Hockey Stadium comes a little over a year after he joined The Posh from Notts County.
The former Walsall and Rochdale hit-man had been the subject of bids from two unnamed League One clubs last week and Peterborough owner Barry Fry has decided to cash in on the tall goalscorer by selling him to the Buckinghamshire-based outfit.
"I'm delighted to get Clive Platt at the club," Wilson told the club's official website.
"He's a player I've admired for a long time, we always had our hands full when he played against Bristol City.
"He leads the line fantastically well and has plenty of height at six foot four.
"Clive is one of the signings I've wanted since day one, so that's a bonus, and hopefully there will be more to come."
Meanwhile, the club are sweating over the fitness of Alex Tapp after the midfielder was stretchered off playing for the reserves this week.
There are fears that Tapp has suffered serious knee ligament damage.
