Imps ready for McAuley bids

Skysports.com understand that Lincoln City' s Gareth McAuley is set to leave Sincil Bank.

Lincoln City defender Gareth McAuley could be on his way out of Sincil Bank in January.

The Northern Ireland international is out of contract in the summer and is understood to be stalling on a new deal.

And there is no shortage of interest in the 26-year-old with a number of clubs having despatched representatives to run the rule over him.

Imps boss Keith Alexander told skysports.com: "He's out of contract in the summer, so I'd rather get something sorted out in January and get a fee."

It has also been reported that former City striker Simon Yeo could be on his way back to Lincolnshire after failing to settle in New Zealand.

But Alexander played down reports linking him with a move for the 32-year-old, saying that he "won't be bending over backwards" to tie up a deal.
