Imps boss John Schofield looks set to move for highly-rated stopper Michael Morrison.
Lincoln City boss John Schofield have made four players available on a free transfer, as they look to lure highly-rated youngster Michael Morrison from Cambridge United.
Schofield has made no secret of his admiration for the 19-year-old centre-back, who took a trial at Chelsea in pre-season.
Morrison has struggled to establish himself since returning to Abbey Stadium though, and could now be set for a move to League Two.
U's manager Jimmy Quinn is thought to be keen on keeping the player however, as they look to maintain their status in the Conference this season.
Morrison holds the club record as the youngest player to make an appearance for the team, when featuring for the reserves aged 15, but a significant fee may prove too hard for Quinn to ignore.
City have meanwhile, put frontmen Gary Birch and Danny Bacon, midfielder Jamie Sherlock and utility man Luke Foster up for grabs, as they look pave the way for Morrison's arrival.
The Imps have been in spectacular form so far this season, and are anxious to continue their push towards automatic promotion from their current position of third in the league.
