Burton extended their lead at the top of Sky Bet League One to three points courtesy of Luke Prosser's own goal in a 1-0 home win against Southend.

Prosser diverted the ball into his own net six minutes into the second half as Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink's men clinched their fourth home win of the season.

Leon Clarke's 75th-minute header - his ninth goal of the season - clinched Bury a 1-0 win at Colchester and lifted David Flitcroft's side into third place as Gillingham and Walsall were held to draws.

Gills striker Rory Donnelly took his tally to four goals in two games with a brace as his side drew 3-3 at home against Oldham.

Donnelly struck in the eighth and 33rd minutes either side of Brennan Dickenson's own goal, but Dominic Poleon hauled the visitors level for a second time in the 36th minute.

On-loan Sheffield United striker Michael Higdon's second goal for Oldham edged the visitors briefly in front early in the second half, but Jake Hessenthaler equalised for the Gills two minutes later.

Walsall were held to a goalless draw at Wigan, who played the last 21 minutes with 10 men after defender Craig Morgan was shown a straight red card for his professional foul on Tom Bradshaw.

Wolves loanee Lee Evans' first goal for Bradford helped his side to a 3-1 win at Rochdale.

Evans struck in the 34th minute and although Peter Vincenti equalised four minutes before half-time, Devante Cole and Olly Lancashire's headed own goal in the second half secured Bradford their first win in five matches.

First-half goals from Port Vale midfielder Byron Moore and striker Uche Ikpeazu earned their side a 2-1 home win against Sheffield United, for whom Matty Done scored a stoppage-time consolation.

Newcastle loanee Adam Armstrong fired his seventh and eighth league goals of the season as Coventry beat Shrewsbury 3-0.

Armstrong scored in the 26th and 65th minutes either side of Marc Antoine-Fortune's penalty on the stroke of half-time after he had been fouled in the area by Nathaniel Knight-Percival.

Richard Chaplow fired a stoppage-time winner for Doncaster in a 2-1 home win against derby rivals Barnsley.

Striker Keshi Anderson broke the deadlock to give Rovers a 35th-minute lead and although the visitors hit back through Sam Winnall's 60th-minute header, Chaplow's late strike settled it in the home side's favour.

Peterborough let slip a two-goal lead before clinching a 5-3 home win against Millwall.

Two goals in four minutes from Lee Angol, his fourth in five games, and Jon Taylor put Posh 2-0 at half-time, but two headers within three second-half minutes from Byron Webster and Tony Craig dragged Millwall level.

Chris Forrester and Conor Washington restored Peterborough's two-goal advantage before Mark Beevers headed a third for Millwall and Taylor grabbed his second in another free-scoring match.

Chesterfield midfielder Dan Gardner fired a double at Crewe either side of David Fox's equaliser to secure the visitors a 2-1 win.

Mark Cullen's first-half header sealed Blackpool a 1-0 home win against Swindon and Paddy Madden's sixth goal of the season in the 68th minute was enough to see Scunthorpe sink managerless Fleetwood 1-0.
