Motherwell new boy Chris Humphrey has spoken of his happiness at making the move to Fir Park and believes he can become a better player at the SPL club.
Humphrey joined the club earlier this month following the expiration of his contract at League Two Shrewsbury.
The flying winger, who made his debut in midweek in the Europa League thrashing of Flamurtari, has settled into life well at Motherwell and is relishing the chance of playing under Jim Gannon.
"It's a great experience playing in Europe and most importantly getting my first Motherwell appearance under my belt," Humphrey told skysports.com.
"I felt I needed the run-out and we were all delighted with the result.
"The fans are fantastic and they gave not just me but the whole team a real lift.
"I hope we can give them more to cheer about as the season goes on.
"I am absolutely delighted I made the move up here. The whole set-up is superb and under the gaffer and coaching team all of us are going to improve as players."
Humphrey was disappointed at some of the events in the wake of his move to Motherwell, but the 21-year-old is now focused on enjoying success in Scotland.
Disappointed"I was sad to leave Shrewsbury, but felt I had no option," added Humphrey.
"I would like to thank Nigel Vaughan and Wheato (Steve Wheatley) and especially the chairman for their help and support during my time there.
"I was disappointed to hear some comments about my leaving. I know for a fact my agent told the manager I was going for talks with another club and he also informed the manager and Managing Director when I had decided to join another club.
"To hear it claimed later that no one knew anything was disappointing.
"Now we must move on.
"I wish all the lads at Shrewsbury all the best but now I will be focusing all my efforts on becoming the best player I can at Motherwell."
