Strikers in for reserve clash

Andy Robinson and Enoch Showunmi are recovering well and will play for Tranmere reserves against Manchester City on Monday night.

The forward duo are poised for their second appearance in a week for Rovers' second string following time on the sidelines with respective knee and leg injuries. If they come through the match unscathed, manager Les Parry has confirmed he will consider both players for selection for Saturday's trip to Oldham in League One. "Andy asked me last Friday how close he was to being involved (in the 1-1 weekend draw with Charlton) and I told him not close enough because he hadn't trained long enough and he had only played one game," Parry told Tranmere Player. "But he'll be knocking on my door again at the end of the week because he'll have played two full 90 minutes and trained for longer than a week. It will be the same with Enoch. "Both of them will be in the reckoning to be involved on Saturday."
