Former Luton Town striker Dean Crowe is aiming to win a contract with hometown club Stockport County.The 26-year-old is currently training at Edgeley Park after being out of the professional game for 12 months.
His last league club was Oldham Athletic but Crowe was offloaded by The Latics at the end of the 2003/04 season.
Crowe has been offered a lifeline by Hatters boss Chris Turner and scored against his old side Oldham in a friendly on Saturday.
Turner has been impressed by the forward and he is trying to rustle up the funds to make Crowe an offer.
