Stockport boss Jim Gannon has warned rivals off striker Liam Dickinson.
Stockport manager Jim Gannon has warned rivals interested in striker Liam Dickinson to look elsewhere.
The 20-year-old has been in outstanding form since arriving from non-league side Woodley Sports before Christmas, scoring five goals in eight appearances.
Dickinson's current deal expires in the summer, but Gannon is hoping to end speculation about his future by getting the youngster to put pen to paper on a contract extension.
"It's great that Liam is getting all this attention, we've certainly been very happy with his recent performances," Gannon enthused.
"I have spoken informally to him about his contract and formally to the board. We'll be sitting down shortly with his agent and the PFA, but I do know that Liam is happy here right now and is keen to stay.
"Clubs have been down watching him but I'd like to keep him here for a while longer yet as he still has lots to learn."
Meanwhile, striker Dean Crowe has left Edgeley Park after the club decided not retain his registration.
The former Stoke man was on non-contract terms with The Hatters but failed to make an impact and has been allowed to leave to find a new club before the end of the season.
