Hatters agree Proudlock deal

Stockport County have agreed a new contract with striker Adam Proudlock.

Stockport County have agreed a new contract with striker Adam Proudlock.

The former Wolves trainee has been with The Hatters since joining the League Two club on non-contract terms back in August.

The former Sheffield Wednesday and Ipswich Town hit-man has gone on to prove his worth to Edgeley Park boss Jim Gannon, and has subsequently signed a pre-contract agreement.

The deal will keep Proudlock with the Cheshire-based side until the end of next season.

"All the goals (in the last four games) have been great for Adam, but the one at Exeter (in the FA Cup) really lifted him," Gannon told the club's official website.

"It's been really tough for Adam at times when he kept breaking down at training, but we've been patient with him and given him the time to regain full fitness.

"He's worked so hard to come good like he has and I'm delighted for him. He's earned his contract and I'm delighted he's signed it."
